Rachael graduated with a 2:1 in her law degree from Queen’s University Belfast in 2018 and then attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, graduating with a distinction and subsequently qualifying as a solicitor in 2020.
Rachael trained in a local general practice firm in West Belfast for two years, gaining experience in a wide range of areas including family law, criminal law and civil litigation. Rachael joined the criminal department of HHD solicitors in 2020 and looks forward to working alongside John O’Kelly and Matt Higgins. Rachael has a particular interest in supporting the criminal department in their wide range of high profile criminal/civil cases throughout the island of Ireland. Matt’s work in Criminal Law, Judicial Review and protecting his clients’ human rights has gained him a reputation as a tenacious and purposeful advocate. HHD’s reputation has led the firm to be instructed by the NI Human Rights Commission, Belfast Solicitors Association and Rights Watch UK.
