What happened: Our client was travelling along the Westlink when a plank of wood fell off a lorry in front of him and shot across a lane, colliding with our client’s vehicle. This caused vehicle damage as well as physical injuries and psychological upset. The lorry failed to stop and a registration number could not be obtained.

Investigations were carried out and a statement was taken from our client. Our client was medically examined and given a total recovery time of 1 year for his physical injuries. He was subsequently awarded £10,000 in damages encompassing compensation for personal injuries and loss of earnings.
