Case study – £30,000 compensation for cyclist RTA claim

HHD solicitor: Matt Higgins, principal solicitor specialising in personal injury claims and criminal work

Settlement: £30,000

What happened: Cyclist injured when parked car pulled in front of her

How HHD solicitors helped: Our client was cycling when a parked car pulled out in front of her. She applied her brakes but still went over her handlebar striking the ground and breaking her helmet. She was taken by ambulance to A&E department and was subsequently off work for a period and treated by her GP. We obtained medical evidence including reports from orthopaedic, dental and plastic surgery experts to consider the extent of her physical injuries. We also obtained a copy of the police report in the matter.

Our client and her family were delighted to receive the compensation due so promptly after pursuing the claim. If you have been involved in an accident as a cyclist which has caused you an injury you may be entitled to make a personal injury claim for compensation.  To find out more about how our specialist personal injury lawyers could help you, please email on matthiggins@hhdsolicitors.com.
