Case Study – £65,000 compensation for pedestrian RTA claim

HHD solicitor: Caroline Dunlop, Associate Solicitor specialising in personal injury claims

Settlement: £65,000

What happened: Pedestrian crossing road involved in single vehicle accident

How HHD solicitors helped: Our client was a pedestrian crossing a public road in Belfast when he was knocked down by a single vehicle. His ankle was trapped under the vehicle when it came to a stop. Our client was taken from the scene by ambulance to hospital where he underwent surgery on his leg.  Our client sustained further injuries to his neck, back and hip.  We subsequently processed our client’s claim for compensation against the defendant’s insurance company. This included having our client medically examined to consider the extent of his physical and psychological injuries and compensation was recovered.

Our client was delighted to receive the compensation due so promptly. If you have been involved in an accident as a pedestrian which has caused you an injury you may be entitled to make a personal injury claim for compensation.  To find out more about how our specialist personal injury lawyers could help you, please email on
