Matt Higgins – Notary Public

HHD principal Matt Higgins is a Notary Public,  which is an officer who can administer oaths and statutory declarations, witness and authenticate documents, and perform certain other acts depending on the jurisdiction. He can also witness documents for use abroad. At HHD, we have received lovely comments and a thank you from a client who was in need of Notary services – “My wife and I recently made an appointment with Mr Higgins regarding the sale of our house in France. Mr Higgins was able to see us at very short notice and spent considerably more time with us than he would have envisaged. He was clearly very busy but still made himself available to advise and process our paperwork. We are extremely grateful for his assistance.” November 2019

Under the Solicitors (Northern Ireland) Order 1976, all solicitors are commissioners for oaths, which means that they can witness official documents other than those prepared by themselves or their opponents in a case. As Northern Ireland increasingly becomes part of a global community, more people are moving throughout the world which may require documentation to be notarised or certified in order to allow employment, studying and settlement. Buying and selling property abroad will also require documentation notarisation.
