Jennine deals with every aspect of family law including divorce, separation, financial settlements, domestic proceedings and children’s cases and represents clients at all Court levels. She is also appointed to the Children’s Order Panel – a panel of solicitors accredited by the Law Society of Northern Ireland to represent parties in public law proceedings under the Children (NI) Order 1995.
After graduating with First Class Honours in Law in 2012, Jennine completed her postgraduate studies and was awarded the prestigious JPB Maxwell Scholarship. She was called to the Bar in 2013 and practised as a Barrister for several years specialising in family, matrimonial and children’s cases before joining HHD Solicitors in May 2024 from a highly regarded Bangor firm.
Known for her calm, practical and reassuring approach, Jennine understands that family law cases often involve more than legal complexity – they involve people’s lives, children, homes and futures. She prides herself on giving clear advice, steady guidance and strong representation when clients need it most.
Before joining HHD Solicitors, Jennine volunteered with the Legal Support Project at the Law Centre NI, offering pro bono advice and representation to those who couldn’t otherwise access legal help. She also lectured part-time at the University of Ulster, teaching law and mentoring students preparing to enter the profession.
Outside work, Jennine is married with young twins. When she isn’t in Court or negotiating settlements, she enjoys travelling, reading and spending time in her garden.
