Circumstances: Our client sustained a laceration to her leg whilst using the hot tub in a spa of a local hotel. The injury arose due to a broken tile. There was no warning nor evidence of inspection or maintenance.

The defendant did enter into initial negotiations but due to the offer of compensation being low and unacceptable, Court proceedings were issued which ultimately secured a settlement of £25,000 without the need for Court hearing.
