Recent figures published by the United Kingdom Health and Safety Executive revealed 124 worker fatalities and approximately 680,000 non-fatal workplace injuries in a year, highlighting the growing need for specialised legal support for employees injured in the course of their work.

In one recent fatal accident in NI, the victim of a work-related accident tragically lost his life after becoming trapped in a horizontal latch conveyor at a concrete company’s principal production facility.  As a result of this tragic accident, the employer was fined £160,000.  An investigation by the Health and Safety Executive (HSENI) found that the incident was “tragic and wholly preventable“.
